'A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step' Confucius
As a child I looked at pictures of Nuno Oliveira, in total awe.
My journey led me into a different directions, and I trained for my BHS stages and then worked as a groom just outside Rome with equivalent to Grade A Show Jumpers and Advanced Dressage Horses. I learnt a lot .
Over the years I have come into contact with a number of horses, for some of those that became my own it was their last chance, they were heading on a one way journey.
Each one of them have taught me so much, about horses and also about myself. Each of them will always have a special place in my heart.
Some of the highlights being 3 time tempo changes in a halter , and competing at the Riding Club National Championships 3 years in a row.
Now my partner has rekindled the awe I felt looking at those classical pictures while I was a child. And so my journey continues .
I am now an Enlightened Equitation Teacher and am humbled by how just by syncing the rider with the movement of the horse, how much can change . and to see the grins of both horses and rider priceless.
